Today marked a productive and impactful engagement between Oyo State youth stakeholders, the Chairman of the Oyo State Youth Agency, and the Rt. Hon. Speaker of the 9th and 10th Oyo State House of Assembly.
I had the privilege of presenting one of our major flagship programs for 2026 the *Omoluabi Festival 2026 Edition* to our leaders: the Chairman of the Oyo State Youth Agency, Prince Adebowale, and the Rt. Hon. Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Debo Ogundoyin. I am pleased to announce that this initiative has received strong support, with confirmed collaboration from both the Oyo State Youth Agency and the Office of the Rt. Hon. Speaker.
On behalf of youth stakeholders across the state, I also appealed for the provision of youth buses for each registered youth group in Oyo State, a request that was openly accepted by the Rt. Hon. Speaker.
In his concluding remarks, the Rt. Hon. Speaker gave assurances on several key youth-focused requests, including:
A bill to address the issue of broad daylight robbery by house agents in Oyo State.
The establishment of durable skill acquisition centers across the state
Provision of youth buses to enhance youth engagement and mobility
Following the meeting, Prince Adebowale led us on an inspection visit to the Youth Agency complex currently under construction, a clear testament to the administration’s commitment to youth development.
Furthermore, as part of efforts to strengthen the economy and create productive opportunities within the entertainment sector, it was announced that Olamide “Baddo” will perform live, with full support from the Oyo State Youth Agency.
We sincerely appreciate the Father of Youth, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his visionary leadership and for giving us Prince Adebowale. We believe strongly in his capacity and pray that he continues to rise to greater heights in service to Oyo State and its youths.
