Ona Ara witnessed a remarkable gathering as Hon. Qudus Ajibola Ibrahim, Accord aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly, hosted a grand Ramadan Lecture that attracted participants from across Ona Ara Local Government and beyond.
The spiritually enriching and community-focused programme drew an impressive turnout of religious leaders, traditional rulers, political stakeholders, youth groups, market leaders, students, and residents, all coming together in the spirit of faith, unity, and reflection.
Among the dignitaries present were the Olori Oko Kafata, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, Accord aspirant for the 2027 Oyo State governorship election, and the Chairman of all Obas in Ibadan, Oba Oniladuntan of Ladutan.
Also in attendance were the Babaloja of Oyo State, Alhaji YK Abass, members of the League of Imams in Ona Ara, former Ona Ara Local Government Chairman Hon. Musbau Shaba, and the President of the Yoruba Youth Council, Aare Abdul Rahmon Alawode Akintunde.
Market men and women from across Ona Ara, led by the Babaloja and Iyaloja, members of the Ona Ara Students Union, and representatives of different political parties including People’s Democratic Party, All Progressives Congress, and Accord Party were also present, reflecting the inclusive and non-partisan nature of the programme.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Qudus Ajibola Ibrahim described the day as one of the happiest moments of his life. He expressed deep gratitude to Almighty God for His mercy and blessings, noting that the massive turnout and peaceful atmosphere were clear signs of divine favour.
He emphasized the importance of Ramadan as a period of reflection, compassion, unity, and service to humanity, urging everyone to embrace peace, love, and understanding beyond religious and political differences.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Qudus Ajibola Ibrahim sincerely appreciated all religious leaders, traditional rulers, political stakeholders, youths, market leaders, students, and residents who honoured the invitation and contributed to the success of the Ramadan Lecture. He described the overwhelming support as deeply encouraging and a true reflection of the unity and goodwill within Ona Ara.
He humbly sought the continued prayers, cooperation, and support of the people as preparations towards the 2027 elections continue, noting that his aspiration is driven by a genuine desire to serve the people with sincerity, inclusiveness, and a strong commitment to grassroots development. He expressed confidence that, with the collective support of the people and the guidance of Almighty God, Ona Ara would witness stronger representation and greater progress.
Hon. Qudus Ajibola Ibrahim concluded by praying that Allah rewards everyone who attended and supported the programme with abundant blessings, peace, and prosperity.
