In a strong move towards unity and progress, prominent youth leaders including Wadem, Lege, TopMan, and Olohun-wa convened a reconciliation meeting with members of the APC Youth League Ona-Ara (APCYL) to address lingering misunderstandings and internal divisions among youths within the party structure.
The meeting was organized in response to concerns over existing factions among Ona-Ara youths, particularly within various support groups. The leaders emphasized that the strength of the APC in Ona-Ara lies in unity, mutual respect, and collective purpose, especially among the youth population.
Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Adeshina, the APC Youth Leader in Ona-Ara Local Government, stressed the importance of coming together as one family. He noted that reconciliation and unity are necessary steps to restore trust, strengthen coordination, and enable the youth to effectively support party programs and initiatives.
Also addressing the gathering, Hon. Waheed Raheem, the immediate past APC Youth Leader in Ona-Ara, encouraged all parties to put personal interests aside and embrace dialogue, understanding, and cooperation for the greater good of the party and the community.
Key resolutions were reached during the meeting. TopMan proposed that the status quo be maintained to ensure stability, while the current APC Youth leadership emphasized the need for harmonization and full unity among all youth groups. It was collectively agreed that recognizing and carrying every youth along would foster inclusion, reduce friction, and strengthen party loyalty.
The leaders also reaffirmed their endorsement of the APC, pledging to work together to execute youth-focused programs that will empower young people and deepen their participation in party activities.
The reconciliation meeting ended on a positive note, with all parties expressing renewed commitment to peace, unity, and collective progress. Participants described the engagement as timely and necessary, marking a fresh beginning for a more united and purposeful APC youth structure in Ona-Ara Local Government.
