In a major development within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), several top political figures have been officially expelled following accusations of anti-party activities.
The decision was made during the party’s National Convention held in Ibadan, where a motion for their expulsion was moved by Chief Olabode “Bode’’ George, one of the party’s founding leaders. The motion was seconded by Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.
Nyesom Wike – Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and others.
The party leadership stated that these individuals were expelled due to consistent actions considered harmful to the unity and progress of the PDP.
According to Chief Bode George, the decision became necessary to restore discipline, promote internal order, and protect the values upon which the PDP was built. He emphasized that no individual, no matter how influential, is greater than the collective spirit of the party.
This move is already generating reactions within the political space. Some observers believe it will strengthen the PDP by removing internal conflicts, while others warn that it may deepen existing divisions, especially among supporters of the expelled members.
As the political atmosphere continues to heat up, all eyes are on how the PDP will navigate the aftermath of this bold decision and how the expelled figures may choose to respond in the days ahead.
TrendNation Media will continue to monitor developments and provide updates as the situation unfolds.
